FACE by Pixiwoo

Well this is going to be a different review but its one I cannot wait to write.
If you don't know here is a little background on pixiwoo who are Sam&Nic Chapman who created the you tube channel pixiwoo. They wrote and published this amazing book that came out on 20th November 2016 and oh my I was excited to receive this a few weeks ago.
Sam & Nic are two beautifully stunning  very  creative and talented make up artists from Norwich in England.
I discovered them by typing into you tube make up tutorials and I have never looked back they have even gave me more of an interest and insight into the world of make up.
So naturally when They posted a video reveling that this book was coming out the excitement was too much and I just had to have it and now with reading the book cover to cover man I am glad to have purchased it.
Can we just take a minute to just appreciate the effort and work that has gone into the book, not only have the girls done a fantastic job of writing it and creating it for there followers and fellow peers but they took it a step further and added a free app face with the book, so you can get the app that works along with the book to give you even more content.

At the beginning of every chapter there is the phone icon, so you get the app open it and scan the phone over the page and up comes a pixiwoo video fantastic!!!!!.

I personally enjoyed reading the skin section in particular and also the finishes chapter and also lips and eyes.
I have always loved make up since being very little and my mum never wore any so I was always watching others like my bigger cousins doing theres till I was allowed to have some off my own. I confess  to not  being amazing at doing make up but man as I am sure all of us have done over the years I have had some major make up disasters!!!!.
It wasn't really till the last few years I have built up an interest in make up and added to my collection and I didn't even bother with the likes of foundation brushes. I used my fingers and always just used the little sponge applicators that came with the eye shadows or the sponge with the compact.
Now discovering pixiwoo videos and not only that but there brush brand real techniques how on earth did I manage without the brushes for all the different steps within applying my make up.It defiantly is essential to have thee right tools before using make up and I would recommend everyone getting some make up brushes and real technique are amazing and also very affordable.

With reading this book obviously I know that it is important to have good skin care first and foremost before then going onto finding the right shades of foundations and the finish to suit you.
Again over the years I have had way to much bronzer and looked like been tangoed and got tide lines as not blended properly and totally the wrong color match, now I go to make up counters and ask plenty of questions and get sample before even considering buying I fully advice this don't feel embarrassed.
To conclude I would like to say how proud I am of the very talented, down to earth, funny and informative pixiwoo woman.
Sam & Nic you are so inspirational your working ethic and drive is outstanding, the amount of hours and time and effort you both put in with your pixiwoo channel and real techniques and being fantastic parents at the same time you both deserve some serious recognition for all that you do.
I sincerely wish you both well in all that you do within your future and look forward to more from you both.
You can purchase this book from Amazon.
and also check out you tube channel pixiwoo for make up tutorials and advice there funny and down to earth and great fun.

The Body Shop Pinita Colada Body Butter

Well lets talk body butters, When it comes to my body and moisturizing I have to say I'm not religious in applying it which I should be better at.

When it comes to the body shop My all time love is the Strawberry range.

I have from time to time tried other scents and fragrances within the body shop range, I have heard of and seen this pinita colada collection that was launched in the summer.

I don't go into body shop as much as I used to back in the day so I never smelt or tried this range, So when I was I Glasgow recently I went in to body shop smelt it and fell in love with the scent.

As you can imagine its a very sweet scent with it being a mixture of pineapple and coconut.

I personally have never tried the actual drink but I imagine its super sweet tasting if the scent is anything to go by.

Its a very light weight cream but intensely moisturizing aimed at normal to dry skin.

Unfortunately it is limited edition so once its gone its gone which is a total shame.

There is a shower gel, body sorbet and a body scrub within the range and I have been lucky enough to enjoy the cream which is now done but I have the sorbet and scrub.

I can't say enough great things about it just a pity it is limited edition if your near a body shop go in see if they still got it and grab it.

have a good one guys x.

This palette contains 16 antioxidant rich powder infused matte and shimmer shades within the range of color such as natural browns, pinks and some plums. This palette is made with 100% natural cocoa powder.

So this is inside the palette beautiful isn't it.

Lets go through them by row.

White Chocolate the longer one in top row is just your standard matte white shade.
Milk Chocolate which is a milk brown matte.
Black Forest Truffle a plummy brown shimmer most shimmery one in palette.
Triple Fudge the last one on first row that is a matte dark brown.

Second Row, Salted Caramel is a matte peachy orange shade.
Marzipan one of my most used ones is a shimmery gold pink.
Semi-sweet this is matte brown, there is a lot of browns.
Strawberry Bon Bon as described this is a pink and its also matte.
Candid Violet which is purple shimmer.
Amaretto oh my I love this shade another well used one.

Last row we have, Hazelnut a brown with slight golden shimmer.
Creme Brulee more golden shimmer.
Haute Chocolate love there play on words here is genius this is another darker brown with shimmer.
Cherry Cordial plum with shimmer another great shade I use.
Champagne Truffle is the other longer shade which is a pink shimmery shade that is alos great as a highlighter.

As with the Sweet Peach Palette I personally feel that these Too Faced palettes are much better quality than The Urban Decay ones.

Again I will put my instagram deatail to my page as I will out a instagram story video of swatches of this.

My Instagram is make_up_lover1983.

thanks again guys have a great weekend x.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Well tonight I'm going to talk about one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, the sweet peach and oh how sweet it is.

Lets start off by mentioning how beautiful the packaging is. It comes in this tin with the ombre pink to peach coloring with the too faced logo in the left hand corner and a big peach motif bottom right.

And if that wasn't enough it smells amazingly peachy.

Lets take a look inside shall we....

da daaaaaaaaaa lol the beauty right....

Ok so inside there are 18 shadows and a good range of color to chose from.

Now I was going to swatch them on my arm and take a photo but never looks great so I will do swatches and add that video to my instagram story soon and leave my instagram for those who wish to add and see it.

Top Row from left- right is-:

  • White peach which is a matte white good as a base and also can be used for a subtle highlight.
  • Luscious is one of my most used shadows in the palette and I would say its a metallic slight shimmery rose gold sort of shadow and stunning on its on or mixed in with other shadows.
  •  Just Peachy which is peach with slight shimmer and also good mixed in or used as a base shadow.
  • Bless Her Heart a lovely light green with slight shimmer.
  • Tempting which is a black with very slight shimmer in it and I personally would use it with a liner brush dry or wet as eye liner.
  • Charmed,I'm Sure is matte brown.
  •
  •
Middle Row.

  • Nectar  slightly shimmery golden yellow shade good for inner corners of eyes.
  •  Cobbler is coppery brown metallic
  • Candied Peach a bright peach with slight shimmer
  • Bellini another one I use a lot a rose goldish brown
  • Peach Pit dark shimmery brown
  • Delectable deep purple with slight shimmer

Last Row.
  • Peaches&Cream this is a matte or white color again good base shadow
  • Georgia matte light pink
  • Caramelized metallic caramel brown
  • Puree brown red undertone matte
  • Summer Yum rust kinda color
  • Talk Derby To Me  black with purple shimmery glitter

I was over the moon when I finally received this palette I always thought that the Urban Decay ones were the ultimate in Eye shadows but since using this and my Chocolate palette from too faced I have changed my mind.

I highly recommend this and the chocolate one to anyone over the urban decay, I mean don't get me wrong I have the urban decay ones and one I like most is naked 3 but I feel the quality of these too faced palettes are much better.

Well thats all for tonight I will do a instagram story video with swatches at some point and I will put my instagram details if you want to add me to see it.

And also I will get a review of the chocolate bar palette up soon.

Instgram is - make_up_lover1983.

I have just uploaded my instagram story video with swatched of this palette go have a look instagram address above.

Elemis Facial Assesment Report/ Elemis Pro- Radiance Cream Cleanser.

Hello guys well I am going to do a little bit of a different post tonight there is a review but also a recommendation and showing you a service that is out there for those of you interested in more depth about your skin.

Well don't say I'm not committed as I am literally laying my face bare to you all haha.

Last month when I was having a shopping trip in John Lewis in York I went to the Origins counter originally to look at eye creams, but there was no one on the counter from Origins as it was a Sunday.

So the lady working on Elemis came over to help me out, she was such a great help and gave me some samples after asking me actually what I was looking for.

Through our own doing myself and my friend decided to have a look at the Elemis counter since we were there without pressure from the lady at the counter.

I know a lot of folks feel the over bearing nature of the hard sell from some department store counter sales assistants but I can safely say this was not the case.

So a few years ago I was told that I had dehydrated skin so knowing this obviously I went for products relating to the needs of my skin.

I mentioned to the Elemis consultant that I find that my skin is very dull and when wearing foundation no matter what brand it is or coverage my foundation seemed to just not sit right especially on my forehead and it also clung to my nose.

The consultant told me about this skin mapping facial assessment report that Elemis offers to customers which is completely free and doesn't take long at all.

So I decided why not I will give it ago.

What you do for this skin assessment is you rest your chin on this machine and close your eyes and there is a flash as a scanner takes pictures of your face, it doesn't hurt or anything and takes no time at all then your therapist will go through the recommendations for you and also print out the photos while going through all the ins and outs of the scan.

There will also be a recommendation of the products within elemis range of products that are suggested for your skin necessities and type.

My skin assessment showed that I have combination to oily skin and the main thing I need to concentrate on mostly is to ex foliate and this will make my skin less dull and also keep my make up on longer and sitting better on my skin.

With a few samples of the items the consultant had of what was recommended for me she gave to me which is amazing.

Since coming home and using the samples I have to say my skin looked and felt amazing.

Now obviously the skin care is expensive so I haven't bought all of the recommended skin care for me.

But at the beginning of this month July I ran out of my normal cleanser so decided I would get the Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser that I had a sample of and seemed great for my skin.

This is amazing it retails at 30 pounds I got it for 25 as I had a voucher for where I bought it from.

Its a deep cleansing cream, it smells amazing and has loads of good ingredients.

It helps and defends against bad pollutants that can cause your skin to be dull.

It has Moringa seed, balancing great burdock, anti oxidant rich noni and acai fruits.

The fragrance is sweet Brazilian orange, lavender, ylang ylang and patchouli veil for the face, whilst essential plant extracts purify and moisturize dehydrated skin, dissolve make up and remove dirt and impurities.

It also comes in 150ml and you don't need a lot at all, I use it every singe day and I totally notice a difference and I highly recommend Elemis and going along to a counter and having the free assessment and There is no pressure to buy the products the staff were very helpful and knew there stuff.

well I hope this was informative and if you got any questions please leave a comment on the blog post once it is uploaded.

you can find elemis online at-:

have a great evening xxx

Too Faced Peach Leopard Brightnening&perfecting Bronzer

Hello folks happy Friday it's a pretty wet one here on Skye today.
But when you have such beautiful items in your collection to blog about the day just gets brighter.

I am soooo excited about this post you have no idea, I first discovered too faced make up in boots in Glasgow when I was at college up until then I had never even heard of the brand. As I have always been into make up you know it was inevitable there was going to be major purchasing going on.

I saw this beauty and it changed my bronzer experience completely in the past I had tried body shop ones and the little bronzing beads and brands like rimmel and even Barry m and they did nothing for me I looked like I had been tangoed or thrown mud on myself.

This all changed when I discovered this amazing bronzer, it has thee most subtle tones ever and it looks amazing on the skin, now I have medium toned skin and it works perfectly for me doesn't look caked on or muddy and orange in anyway, also with having the hint of peach through the bronzer it gives that slight bit of brightening radiance.

It is the only bronzer I have literally used to the bitter end and hit pan on so you can imagine how disappointed I was when once out of this item and returning to boots to re purchase this bronzer they no longer had it, so I thought oh well this item must be very popular and is sold out I will try again another time.

To my dismay too faced has discontinued this item but have the pink leopard one in the collection still to this day.

I hunted high and low and could not find this item not even on e bay anywhere.

Then when on youtube a girl was talking about a website called glambots that you can buy and sell make up and low and behold there it was after years of hunting for it was my favorite bronzer.

So naturally I added it to my basket straight away without any hesitation.

As this company is based in the USA it took a few weeks to arrive but I am overjoyed to have it back in my life.

I have tweeted too faced and also written to them and posted on there instagram asking why they discontinued this item when they kept the pink version, according to customer services my messages have been passed onto the production team so fingers crossed we might see it back on the shelfs and on there website in permanent collection.

I have also just received a back up one from a girl selling one on e bay so I'm totally elated.

If you can't tell already this product is defiantly a staple that I would love to have in my collection for a long time to come and I would also love you all to be able to enjoy it with me. So also would be good if you got on board and contacted too faced also.

Anyway guys good to have this beauty back in my make up bag and I will enjoy it and lets hope you all get to also.

Much love

Julie xxx

recently purchased lipsticks/gloss

Hello folks I am sorry I've not written a post in a while I like to be able to really have tried the products and used them enough to write about them and give my thoughts.

If you cant tell already I have a slight lipstick obsession going on lol.

The first brand of lip product that am going to write about it YSL.

These are from the YSL rouge volupte shine range.
I chose them in the shades number 44 and 8.

They come in the most beautiful luxurious gold packaging with the lovely ysl motif within a mesh type circles which also show the color of the produce on the packaging which is amazing.

They retail at 26 pound so more of a higher end cosmetic. They have an intense color pigmented glossy shine its very sheer but build able if want a more intense color and very comfortable to wear.

Its so moisturizing and like with all ysl lip products they smell amazing!.

Next up are my first ever Nars lipsticks.

Nars is a light weight sheer textured lipstick which comes in fantastic range of shades it has good conditioners within the formula also antioxidants which nourish and protect.

I picked the color sexual healing which is the lighter shade and its a shimmering pink blossom.

Next color was dolce vita which is the darker shade and is a dusty pink.

These lipsticks retail at price of 21 pounds and they come in a lovely classic black packaging it feel a little swede on the outer packaging.

Moving onto Too Faced

We have one of there melted liquefied long wear lipstick.

This is my only one of this range I went for the melted nude as if you haven't noticed already I go between nudes and pink or rosy toned lipsticks or glosses also retails at 17 pounds.
This is a liquid satin style of lipstick and as you can see from the picture it very pigmented and an amazing color pay off.

Its very intense and long wearing it also isn't drying which is even better.

It comes in this cute packaging which too faced are great with there team make such cute and innovative products not only in the sense of ie. lipstick or eye shadows but also the outer packaging which catches your eye and look amazing in your collection.

You squeeze the lipstick out of the tube and it come out through a little sponge at the end and it smells like a really nice and sweet scent which I love.

Lat but by no means least but this is the cheaper of the range I purchased is NYX.

I was away in York and in there boots store the have a nyx counter so naturally being into cosmetics I had to have some ha.

I bought theses nyx butter glosses they are retailed at 5.00 pounds so reasonable.

Therte are many shades to chose from so one there for everyone.

As the name suggests they are very buttery in formula which is amazing and so smooth in application. There not sticky at all even though when trying them you might think they are going to be. Also fantastic color pay off.

I chose number 15 which is angel food cake and it the more dusty pink shade.
And I also chose number 07 in color tiramisu which is a nice neutral brown shade and these also smell amazing and i highly recommend them.

well hope you have had a good weekend and speak to you all very soon. x

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze&Glow Face Sculpt&Highlight

This is the beautiful item by Charlotte Tilbury I was so excited to add this to my collection.

It comes in her signature rose gold packaging with the diamond emblem and within that her initials.

Sorry about the reflection in the mirror when taking the photo I'm no professional blogger or photographer some folk like that I just do it like this just a girl in her room giving her own thoughts.
Back to the item it contains
  • Bronzer- which it doesn't show up the color greatly on the photo but I would say it is a matte light brown toned bronze which is good cos then its not going to look to muddy or orange on the face and a nice contour shade also.
  • apply the bronzer to cheek hollows, temples, jaw line and the sides and tip of your nose.
  • Glow which is the highlighter I would say this is a nice subtle highlighter not to much shimmer which I personally love cos it can look to much and this is just perfect.
  • apply highlighter to top of cheek bones, centre of nose, bow of lips and brow bone to give the face a nice subtle glow from within look.
The shelf life on this packaging says 30 months in case anyone is interested in that.

It retails at 49.00 which is obviously a high end brand so some folk might find this to much.
I personally love it, its compact and stunning on the eye to look at and handy to take when going away. it has a decent size mirror which also has a cute little star in right hand corner, I swear it is the little details that make things.
anyway folk thanks again and hope your well xxx

Benefit Real Cheeky Party- Blushing Beauty Kit

Hey folks how are you all sorry been a gap in my posts I like to take the time to think of what I want to post and make sure I have used the products enough to give my personal thoughts.

Tonight I am going to write about this beautiful Blushing Beauty Kit that Benefit brought out last year, I'm not sure if this item was limited edition or not.

Well being addicted to all things make up and cosmetics while browsing on john lewis website I came across this and thought I need this in my life.

Lets just start of by saying how groovy the packaging is, its this retro looking tin with a neon green dot pattern on the lid of the box you can feel the dots on the lid of the box also which is good for those of us who like feeling different textures. It also has neon pink with black dots all around the side.

So I think this is very fun to have in my collection and to look at.

I'm going to insert a picture now of the inside.

So within this beauty tin there are 4 blushes which are staple benefit products out there in the original collection.

The benefit beauty lovers bronzer which is hoola.

A watts up mini highlighter which is a cream formula and I have to say love the play on words with the name.

A mini push up they're real eye liner in black and also a they're real black mascara.

Dandelion- which is a light subtle pink blush.

Rockateur- more of a peach with slight iridescent fleck through it also has a slight floral scent which some folk might not like.

Sugar bomb-  this is my favorite one of them all it is a mix of colors and it also has a slight floral scent and gives thee best glow to the cheeks you could try aiming your brush if you have a small brush into one of the four triangles of the blush or just go for it and mix them all together.

Hoola-  this is a matte brown bronzer I am sure many of you have heard of this item and possibly even have it in your make up collection not to sure what to say on it, its a decent enough product and I have also used it to contour.

coralistia- the clue is in the name ha, its your coral blush I would say in the pan it look so bright but once added to the skin and my skin tone is medium it gives you the most beautiful glow especially with a bit of a tan in the summer weather.

They're Real eye liner in black- I have to say I'm not a fan of this at all I just cannot get to grips with it you take the lid of it and its got the rubbery angled applicator you twist up the liner and then supposed to glide onto your lash line, well I'm not great with liquid liners anyway but normally gel ones I am ok but this was just a nightmare.

They're Real mascara- I have to say again this was not for me so I gave this away to a friend who loves it. Personally it was to clumpy for me and was making my eyelashes look a mess.

Watts up- this is a beautiful liquid formulation  highlighter and I love it its got enough sheen in it but its not over the top as some highlighter are wow and totally out there. I would definitely buy the full size product of this item.

I paid 26 pounds for this now that is amazing value as most of these item individually retail for around 20 odd pounds on there own.

If you are thinking of looking for this particular item or i believe they have brought out another cheek kit I highly recommend it.

Have a great Monday guys and speak to you all very soon xxx.

My Current Skin Care Routine/ Review

Well Happy Monday every one and as much as it has finally heat up out there I am defiantly not cut out for warm weather it just kills me and makes me grumpy ha!.
In saying that though I have been lying out in sun most of the day in garden since it is my day off and we all like to get a little tanned.
Tonights post I am going to talk about what I use and do for my current skin care, I say current as it changes from time to time and products added and some not used unless have a current skin issue or its winter.
 1. Botanics Hydration Burst 3 in 1 Micellar Cleanser.

First of all this one is for dehydrated and sensitive skin, its more so for removal off make up particularly on the eyes and lips. Its got soothing Clary Sage in it, it comes in a 250ml bottle so going to last you a good while even if used daily. Botanics is also retailed at a decent price and I bought this from boots the chemist.

I only use this when I have make up on apply it to a cotton pad and folding over the pad with my index finger I move the pad up and down gently over my lids and lashes to remove my eyeshadow and mascara.
I do that on both eyes and sometimes use another wipe just to remove stubborn mascara left under my eye, using your index finger is the best way and how I was shown doing my facial diploma.

2. Clinique Take The Day Of Cleansing Milk.

This is a milk cleanser and first time I have tried this item the main reason I chose this was it was on offer.
I have used a few items of Clinique before and there good for people that are sensitive as non of the products are scented there fragrance free.

This can be used with or without water to dissolve make up also, its suitable for all skin types but mainly good for those with drier skin.
You massage this over the skin with your fingertips and then either remove with luke warm water or cotton pads to leave your skin feeling moisturized and refreshed.
Personally I apply the item to cotton pad and weep over my face after using the cleansing water then I get another clean cotton pad and remove the make up I am wearing. If I'm not wearing make up I will only used one cotton pad for removal of the cleanser on a daily basis, but when wearing a face of make up I double cleanse and use quiet a few cotton pads.

3. Botanics Cleansing Toner All Bright.

This step is my all time favorite step in skin care I absolutely love the feeling off toner on my skin without a shadow of a doubt I believe it makes a difference to have a skin care routine and do it every night before going to bed. I have re purchased this particular one a few times as I genuinely like it and its affordable its 250ml and it works for my skin, First time I tried it was in a skin care set along with a day/ night cream for hydrating skin which also was amazing but I don't have them at the minute.
For me the feeling of toner is like re born fresh skin its just amazing I feel totally refreshed. I do this every night without fail.

 4. Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer.

I received this within a gift set for my Christmas.

It says its an energy moisturizer on the skin and you can use it morning and night.
I personally use it in the evening as I already have a thicker day cream that I use in the day.
Its a light weight oil free moisturizer that hydrates fortified with skin boosters like gingzing and coffee beans and can be used on dry, normal or oily skin. and retails at 25 pounds for 50ml.

5. Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream To Brighten And De puff.

This is the last thing I apply within my routine I always though you added eye cream under moisturizer but you don't its last thing you add.
Now cos this is to brighten eyes and de Puff there is no point in going to bed with it on to be honest is there but I do apply it at night. I also have a tester of a revitalizing eye powder then changes into liquid under your eye I tend to use that off a morning.
This cream also has coffee beans, ginzing, magnolia extracts and natural optical brighteners. there formula of the cream is very pink or peachy irredentist and you defiantly don't need much at all it lasts a long time as a little goes along way. I only have the 5ml as was in a gift set but I have all so tried the full sized pot and it lasts ages even with every day use.
For 100ml it retails at 20 pounds. I defiantly if I have the worst under eye bags or look tired think it does brighten them up all so with under your eyes being such a sensitive area some people find it hard to get a product that is right for them and doesn't irritate them and I have found this works well for me.

Well folks I Hope you have had a good Monday and enjoy reading my latest  post.

Bodyshop Spa Of The World Hawaiian Kukui Cream

Hey folks today I'm going to have a chat about this body shop cream.

The body shop has been going for a long time and are always bringing out more and more amazing products and ranges within there shops.

One of there latest ranges it currently Spa of the World.

This is the only item from the range I own and have tried and its the body cream its a huge tub 350ml retailing at 23 pounds which might seem expensive but believe me you get loads out of it. I have had this product since November 2015 and I am still nowhere near finished.

Granted I don't use it every since day or night I am still impressed with the amount you get for your money.

Kukui oil  helps restore the skins nature suppleness, making it nourished and soft.

It also smells amazing It absorbs well into the skin doesn't leave it feeling sticky or oily one thing I will say is wait till mostly dried into skin before putting clothes on as can be a bit tricky.

If I'm honest I prefer creams that absorb quicker but do the job to keeping my skin in good condition and moisture locked in as I have dry/dehydrated skin.

So if your looking for a good body all over cream and you want value for your money then get yourself to a body shop store or on line and purchase this item.

Have a great Sunday xxx

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eye Palette

Tonights post is going to be about Charlotte tilbury.

To give you a bit of background on her in case your not sure of who she is here is some information before we get into the product its self.

She was born in France but moved to Ibiza when only 9 months old with her parents. At 13 she attended boarding school in England.

Moving onto Glauca Rossi School Of Make up in London.

Through the years she has worked with many photographers, models and celebrities.

In October 2012 she launched her you tube channel showing off her make up artist skills and different looks on line.
But in 2013 she launched her amazing make up collection and I'm going to now write about the amazing products that I bought from her collection.
Here we have a four quad palette comes in I would say a burgundy colored packaging with her statement rose gold with the c t emblem on the front of lid.
On the back of the product there is a sticker with the four shades in the palette which are numbered 1 to 4.

There are a few of these palette in different colors I decided on this one as I have brown eyes and I know that these green colors are good for my shade of eyes.
I mean how stunning does it look you have thee most vibrant colors within a beautiful rose gold outer packing.

These are the four shades and on back of palette Charlotte has numbered them
1. prime this is like a champagne gold shimmer shade I would say now all these shadows are very vibrant and pigmented cos of light in my room you cannot make it out so much on lighter shadow.
2. enhance this is the lighter shade of green but trust me when I say you don't need a lot its very intense on the color pay off.
3. pop its more olive green with hints of glitter totally stunning I would say my favorite one within the palette the little bits of gold within the shadow is fantastic and again its so pigmented.
4. smoke this is the darkest green within this palette pretty much full on forest green.
Now I'm not sure if on the back of the other color of palettes there numbered and all like, prime, enhance, pop and smoke so you would need to check that out but if they all have it, its a good way to give an idea of how you could apply them.
I used this palette at Christmas night out there is a lot of fall down with these shadows particularly because of them being darker shades so I suggest applying your eye make up first then tidying up under the eyes and then applying the rest of your make up.
They retail at 38 pounds and I got mine on John Lewis website.
I have just checked and the prime, enhance, pop and smoke is on the back of these palettes.
Well I hope you enjoy this post and happy shopping if you decide to purchase these products or anything from the range.
Have A Great Evening.

Hey guys hope your having a great Saturday thought it was time for another post and today I'm going to talk about this Urban Decay Palette.
Now you beauty and make up lovers out there will off heard and no doubt even have the naked palettes in your make up collection, if not where have you been you need them in your collection now haha.
This palette contains 12 shadows four of these shadows are matte shades which are great for using as a base color or in the crease.

The other eight shadows are metallic or shimmery and totally beautiful.
Lets start off with the four matte shades within the palette.

thirteen- is a matte white shade that I would use all over the lid or as a bit of a highlight underneath the brow bone.

combust- my interpretation of this color is a off white with taupe under tones. some folk might say its an off white haha.

whiskey- well you can guess that this is a matte brown most would use this again for all over the lid which can be a base shadow, in the crease of your eyes or a line using a eyeliner brush and a little fixing spray to make it wet or even just dab brush in water. Another use for this shade is shadowing in the outer corners of the eyes.
password- again my interpretation off this shadow is like a slate Grey with brown undertones.
All basic matte shadows but can be used in many ways for different looks you could even if your not wanting to use any shimmer shades or metallics you could have an all matte eye look and possibly even use some shimmer shade as outer corner or liner.
Now lets have a look at the other 8 shadows.

 Excuse my lovely arm haha

lets get started with these beauties
smolder- this is a purple metallic shade very beautiful and amazing pigment payoff and very build able.
black market- which as you have already guessed from the name is a black metallic shade without any glitter or shimmery elements to it for your classic black smoked eye.
dagger- I'm going to say this one is slate Grey with slight slivery particles within the shadow
slanted- in the pan it looks to the eye at first glance as light Grey when swatched its defiantly not Grey it's iridescent light blue with beautiful sliver particles within.
armor- this shade is a sparkling silver.
radar- bronze shimmer.
dirtysweet- bronze/gold shimmer.
high- a pink under toned shade which is also a beautiful inner corner shadow.
The great thing about such a palette compared to any I have within my collection as most palettes no matter the colors there is always matte and shimmer or metallic shadows to create different looks. I do have one palette which I have blogged about that is all mattes so check that one out as some folk don't like the shimmery or metallic look.

A lot of people are apprehensive about trying out a smoked eye look as first time I tried it was like oh my god I look like I have a black eye or been punched but at this point I didn't own make up brushes which yes they do make a huge difference to make up application, and I also was not sure how to blend my eyeshadow or build up the products.

The fantastic thing about this Urban Decay palette is they have given us all a mix of colors so you aren't overwhelmed with going straight into the darker shades off a smoked look.

You can have a neutral bronzed smoked goddess eye.
or move into a more slivery slate Grey or blue tones smoky eye.
or
classic black, or purple toned smoked eyes.
well I hope you guys enjoy this recent post and check out the rest of my blog.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Tonight I am going to talk about my thoughts on this s.o.s amazing product.
I have heard a lot about Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream range but I had never bothered to try the products.

After watching many a you tube video and being a cosmetic junkie I decided that I would give this product ago particularity for use on my lips as they are always dry, now I did a blog post on my page on another lip item that I do love and does work but not as well as this little beauty.

So this product was created in 1930 so an iconic brand and range.

Its retail price is 27 pounds for 50ml and this one is fragrance free its good for 36months which is amazing shelf life.

What does this cream do!!! the question is what doesn't it do.

  • moisturize/protect
  • use to shape your brows
  • revitalize&shine
  • soothe dry hands/cuticles/nails
  • chapping,peeling,flaking,burns,sunburn etc.
  • cracked lips
  • provides ant-inflammatory benefits
  • scrapes/abrasions
I mean talk about multi purpose in so many ways, since buying this I have used it constantly on my lips and it does wonders,I also fell the other day in the garden and grazed my knee and popped this over  it and it helped with the healing process and also the bruising around the knee.

When plucking my eyebrows which I am rubbish at and don't like doing I popped on a little of the gel cream and then plucked them and it was not as sore as normal so to say I am impressed would be an understatement I  am blown away and regardless of it costing 27 pounds I will defiantly re purchase this item.

There are many items within the 8 hour range am considering trying out in the near future.

I also have to say love the packaging particularly the lid like a frosted outer edge on the lid and the classic red with numbers 8s on the bottom just so pretty.

Hope you guys are all well and enjoy reading this latest post and take care xxx

Revlon treat&boost polish

Evening folks tonight I'm going to talk about a nail product, All my life I have had nail envy from being that little girl watching my older cousin putting on nail polish I was in awe, it has never been about having the longest nails but having nicer shaped and longer nail beds would be fantastic, but as they say we can't have everything we want.

These are some photos of my nails as you can see there not long and they are never shaped the same way and grow so annoyingly.

So through my years I'm now 32 I have just plodded on using different brands of nail polish and being perfectly honest I hate painting my nails I don't have the patience to wait for them to dry so they always end up smudging or they chip and I get annoyed.

A good few years ago I decided to try out acrylic extensions and went and got them put onto my very short nails they looked amazing and I was pleased, when they were removed my nails were totally wrecked even worse than normal.

Now I have brittle, thin, weak nails they even were splitting when wasn't much of a nail there to begin with.

After having these nail enhancements I decided to get a nail strengthener I tried out brands from rimmel, barry m, opi, and even went for a more up market priced nail recovery set and nothing at all was working.
My nails were to damaged that it was sometimes even painful to touch anything as they were breaking and it was straight down the nail type of damage.

Needless to say I have since the acrylic nails had gel nails done and there supposed to be better for your nails and even tried calgel which is supposed to promote natural growth in your own nails, if it does well it didn't for me.

For past year or so I have been using Revlon treat and boost polish which retails at 7 odd pounds so not to expensive.
Its a clear polish which does look pink in the bottle but goes on nails clear, its fast drying and doesn't chip at all.

It contains vitamins and antioxidant and you can either apply it daily which I would advice doing defiantly to start off with for the first few weeks if your nails are particularly bad.

Or pop it on as needed onto your bare nails or under a polish color of your choice.

Whatever it is about this product and brand I'm not sure but it works for me don't get my wrong my nails are not amazing or super strong and with the job I do cleaning there taking a battering with chemicals and in and out of water all the time. But defiantly from using this product I've noticed a difference in my nails.

With it not chipping which I can assure you it doesn't I would remove the polish after a few days and re apply just so your getting the full benefits from the polish.

I just want to say I still do go and get gel nails done as I'm a girl an its nice to have someone else do your nails for you. But in my experience and I know everyone nails different don't go for acrylic nails go for natural or gel nails if you want a change and always make sure they are

removed properly. Also buy a cuticle cream and oil and do this on your nails at least once a week.

Again thanks for popping bye and take care xxxx.

Rituals Zensation Shower Gel/Rituals Blossom Water

Happy easter folks hope your having a good one.
Well tonights post is going to be on another Rituals product.
I have done a post previously on Rituals body cream definitely check it out if you haven't already.
First of all I so wish you could smell through screens cos it smells amazingggg!!!.
Rituals is a brand I had never heard of till this  time last year when I was shopping in jenners in Edinburgh, and the first time I also bought this item along with the body cream in my previous blog post.
I don't know about anyone else but I get through a lot of shower gels and having a good smelling scent makes all the difference as well as being moisturizing on your body if your like me in this sense then you are going to love this collection.
Zensation organic rice milk and cherry blossom is the scent  and oh my god its so refreshing and heavenly I just want to eat it ha.
This is a foaming shower gel so a little goes along way believe me. Its retailed at 8.50 which to some people is over priced for a shower gel and that is fair enough but I know its worth it and for 200ml its pretty decent value this is my second bottle.
Next that is also in the collection is Blossom water.
Again This is amazing its cherry blossom scent in a relaxing body mist.
its a 50ml bottle in this beautiful light green glass with flower design on the bottle.
It retails at 16.50 which again depends totally on your budget, this is my second bottle its got like a dribble left in the bottom so need more.
There is a description on the back of the bottle it says, rich soothing fragrance with a delicate floral top note before journeying into lush heart of cherry blossoms. and a musky blend to give exotic warmth while adding an enduring finish.
I also use this spray in my bedroom and spray my pillows to make my bed smell amazing and also as a room spray.
There are many other items and collections within the Rituals range I will leave websites and go have a browse.
have a fantastic easter folks all the best xxx.
