Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eye Palette

Tonights post is going to be about Charlotte tilbury.

To give you a bit of background on her in case your not sure of who she is here is some information before we get into the product its self.

She was born in France but moved to Ibiza when only 9 months old with her parents. At 13 she attended boarding school in England.

Moving onto Glauca Rossi School Of Make up in London.

Through the years she has worked with many photographers, models and celebrities.

In October 2012 she launched her you tube channel showing off her make up artist skills and different looks on line.
But in 2013 she launched her amazing make up collection and I'm going to now write about the amazing products that I bought from her collection.
Here we have a four quad palette comes in I would say a burgundy colored packaging with her statement rose gold with the c t emblem on the front of lid.
On the back of the product there is a sticker with the four shades in the palette which are numbered 1 to 4.

There are a few of these palette in different colors I decided on this one as I have brown eyes and I know that these green colors are good for my shade of eyes.
I mean how stunning does it look you have thee most vibrant colors within a beautiful rose gold outer packing.

These are the four shades and on back of palette Charlotte has numbered them
1. prime this is like a champagne gold shimmer shade I would say now all these shadows are very vibrant and pigmented cos of light in my room you cannot make it out so much on lighter shadow.
2. enhance this is the lighter shade of green but trust me when I say you don't need a lot its very intense on the color pay off.
3. pop its more olive green with hints of glitter totally stunning I would say my favorite one within the palette the little bits of gold within the shadow is fantastic and again its so pigmented.
4. smoke this is the darkest green within this palette pretty much full on forest green.
Now I'm not sure if on the back of the other color of palettes there numbered and all like, prime, enhance, pop and smoke so you would need to check that out but if they all have it, its a good way to give an idea of how you could apply them.
I used this palette at Christmas night out there is a lot of fall down with these shadows particularly because of them being darker shades so I suggest applying your eye make up first then tidying up under the eyes and then applying the rest of your make up.
They retail at 38 pounds and I got mine on John Lewis website.
I have just checked and the prime, enhance, pop and smoke is on the back of these palettes.
Well I hope you enjoy this post and happy shopping if you decide to purchase these products or anything from the range.
Have A Great Evening.

Naked Smoky Palette

Hey guys hope your having a great Saturday thought it was time for another post and today I'm going to talk about this Urban Decay Palette.
Now you beauty and make up lovers out there will off heard and no doubt even have the naked palettes in your make up collection, if not where have you been you need them in your collection now haha.
This palette contains 12 shadows four of these shadows are matte shades which are great for using as a base color or in the crease.

The other eight shadows are metallic or shimmery and totally beautiful.
Lets start off with the four matte shades within the palette.

thirteen- is a matte white shade that I would use all over the lid or as a bit of a highlight underneath the brow bone.

combust- my interpretation of this color is a off white with taupe under tones. some folk might say its an off white haha.

whiskey- well you can guess that this is a matte brown most would use this again for all over the lid which can be a base shadow, in the crease of your eyes or a line using a eyeliner brush and a little fixing spray to make it wet or even just dab brush in water. Another use for this shade is shadowing in the outer corners of the eyes.
password- again my interpretation off this shadow is like a slate Grey with brown undertones.
All basic matte shadows but can be used in many ways for different looks you could even if your not wanting to use any shimmer shades or metallics you could have an all matte eye look and possibly even use some shimmer shade as outer corner or liner.
Now lets have a look at the other 8 shadows.

 Excuse my lovely arm haha

lets get started with these beauties
smolder- this is a purple metallic shade very beautiful and amazing pigment payoff and very build able.
black market- which as you have already guessed from the name is a black metallic shade without any glitter or shimmery elements to it for your classic black smoked eye.
dagger- I'm going to say this one is slate Grey with slight slivery particles within the shadow
slanted- in the pan it looks to the eye at first glance as light Grey when swatched its defiantly not Grey it's iridescent light blue with beautiful sliver particles within.
armor- this shade is a sparkling silver.
radar- bronze shimmer.
dirtysweet- bronze/gold shimmer.
high- a pink under toned shade which is also a beautiful inner corner shadow.
The great thing about such a palette compared to any I have within my collection as most palettes no matter the colors there is always matte and shimmer or metallic shadows to create different looks. I do have one palette which I have blogged about that is all mattes so check that one out as some folk don't like the shimmery or metallic look.

A lot of people are apprehensive about trying out a smoked eye look as first time I tried it was like oh my god I look like I have a black eye or been punched but at this point I didn't own make up brushes which yes they do make a huge difference to make up application, and I also was not sure how to blend my eyeshadow or build up the products.

The fantastic thing about this Urban Decay palette is they have given us all a mix of colors so you aren't overwhelmed with going straight into the darker shades off a smoked look.

You can have a neutral bronzed smoked goddess eye.
or move into a more slivery slate Grey or blue tones smoky eye.
or
classic black, or purple toned smoked eyes.
well I hope you guys enjoy this recent post and check out the rest of my blog.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Tonight I am going to talk about my thoughts on this s.o.s amazing product.
I have heard a lot about Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream range but I had never bothered to try the products.

After watching many a you tube video and being a cosmetic junkie I decided that I would give this product ago particularity for use on my lips as they are always dry, now I did a blog post on my page on another lip item that I do love and does work but not as well as this little beauty.

So this product was created in 1930 so an iconic brand and range.

Its retail price is 27 pounds for 50ml and this one is fragrance free its good for 36months which is amazing shelf life.

What does this cream do!!! the question is what doesn't it do.

  • moisturize/protect
  • use to shape your brows
  • revitalize&shine
  • soothe dry hands/cuticles/nails
  • chapping,peeling,flaking,burns,sunburn etc.
  • cracked lips
  • provides ant-inflammatory benefits
  • scrapes/abrasions
I mean talk about multi purpose in so many ways, since buying this I have used it constantly on my lips and it does wonders,I also fell the other day in the garden and grazed my knee and popped this over  it and it helped with the healing process and also the bruising around the knee.

When plucking my eyebrows which I am rubbish at and don't like doing I popped on a little of the gel cream and then plucked them and it was not as sore as normal so to say I am impressed would be an understatement I  am blown away and regardless of it costing 27 pounds I will defiantly re purchase this item.

There are many items within the 8 hour range am considering trying out in the near future.

I also have to say love the packaging particularly the lid like a frosted outer edge on the lid and the classic red with numbers 8s on the bottom just so pretty.

Hope you guys are all well and enjoy reading this latest post and take care xxx

Revlon treat&boost polish

Evening folks tonight I'm going to talk about a nail product, All my life I have had nail envy from being that little girl watching my older cousin putting on nail polish I was in awe, it has never been about having the longest nails but having nicer shaped and longer nail beds would be fantastic, but as they say we can't have everything we want.

These are some photos of my nails as you can see there not long and they are never shaped the same way and grow so annoyingly.

So through my years I'm now 32 I have just plodded on using different brands of nail polish and being perfectly honest I hate painting my nails I don't have the patience to wait for them to dry so they always end up smudging or they chip and I get annoyed.

A good few years ago I decided to try out acrylic extensions and went and got them put onto my very short nails they looked amazing and I was pleased, when they were removed my nails were totally wrecked even worse than normal.

Now I have brittle, thin, weak nails they even were splitting when wasn't much of a nail there to begin with.

After having these nail enhancements I decided to get a nail strengthener I tried out brands from rimmel, barry m, opi, and even went for a more up market priced nail recovery set and nothing at all was working.
My nails were to damaged that it was sometimes even painful to touch anything as they were breaking and it was straight down the nail type of damage.

Needless to say I have since the acrylic nails had gel nails done and there supposed to be better for your nails and even tried calgel which is supposed to promote natural growth in your own nails, if it does well it didn't for me.

For past year or so I have been using Revlon treat and boost polish which retails at 7 odd pounds so not to expensive.
Its a clear polish which does look pink in the bottle but goes on nails clear, its fast drying and doesn't chip at all.

It contains vitamins and antioxidant and you can either apply it daily which I would advice doing defiantly to start off with for the first few weeks if your nails are particularly bad.

Or pop it on as needed onto your bare nails or under a polish color of your choice.

Whatever it is about this product and brand I'm not sure but it works for me don't get my wrong my nails are not amazing or super strong and with the job I do cleaning there taking a battering with chemicals and in and out of water all the time. But defiantly from using this product I've noticed a difference in my nails.

With it not chipping which I can assure you it doesn't I would remove the polish after a few days and re apply just so your getting the full benefits from the polish.

I just want to say I still do go and get gel nails done as I'm a girl an its nice to have someone else do your nails for you. But in my experience and I know everyone nails different don't go for acrylic nails go for natural or gel nails if you want a change and always make sure they are

removed properly. Also buy a cuticle cream and oil and do this on your nails at least once a week.

Again thanks for popping bye and take care xxxx.
